Before and after school care focuses on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement, Y-Care serves children kindergarten through 5th grade in all Lake Station Community Schools. Students engage in a variety of activities to develop their interests and talents in a safe and secure, fun environment with low child-to-staff ratio. Children may be dropped off before school at the Y as early as 6:00 a.m. and picked up after school at Virgil I. Bailey Elementary School as late as 6:30 p.m. CCDF vouchers are accepted and financial assistance is available. Program location and transportation may be subject to change based on availability.

*$30 registration fee applies per school year, per child. All fees are for the 2026-2027 school year.
*$5 additional fee applies per child, per day late start or early dismal. This is ONLY for children already registered for that time of care.

AM & PM Pick-up and Drop-off Times Vary by Program/Grade.
Transportation for children who arrive after the school buses have completed their pick-up is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Bus pick-up times are subject to change at the discretion of the Lake Station Community Schools Transportation Department.
